Your right. I did say that I wasn’t going to use it. It turns out that was another thing that I was wrong about.
I have been wrong about many things in life. I thought that by using ChatGPT I would be replacing my voice. It turns out that it helps me enhance it.
How? In several ways. I write 99% of what is here. Sometimes I start writing a post and then don’t feel good about the tone of the post. I delete it. I would have saved time if I had used ChatGPT to further refine my idea rather than just start writing.
I don’t look to ChatGPT for ideas. I have plenty of ideas. I use it to check facts, just like checking with search engines that I used to do, and it also corrects formatting. When I do use it, I clearly let people know that it is ChatGPT and I have never and will never lie and claim something from ChatGPT is my own. I can do better than it, because I am speaking with my voice and POV.
I have to admit that at first I was against AI. I experienced the painful and confusing parts and it lead me to believe wrongly that it was not useful. It does have a place, and my friend helped me see the value in it. It has saved me time and effort and for that the $20 a month has been worth it. No I am not trying to sell it, just honestly share it has helped me.
