I thought I would try a WordPress plugin with AI. It was a fail.
It was supposed to automatically find images that matched the text that I wrote. When I clicked on the button to “Generate automatically” nothing happened. I deleted the plugin.
I have to say that most AI things are disappointing. I shared before that I found OpenAI useful enough to buy a subscription for it. It is good at summarizing text, or giving quick information faster than a search engine. Google has been increasingly irrelevant and so it caused me to switch to the Brave search engine long ago. However ChatGPT does a good job on some topics of finding information. However lately it has increasingly said that its internet search function is temporarily not available, which is kind of concerning for a paid service.
Practically speaking, I use ChatGPT to search for information. If that doesn’t work then I use a Brave search engine AI search. That has had the best results for me. Yes I spoke about Leo the AI integrated into Brave on the sidebar, but its responses are weak and I don’t expect a browser to be able to compete with the big boys. If ChatGPT and Brave search engine AI was unavailable for some reason then I would use it.
Now some of you will say what do you expect for free software like WordPress plugins? I expect them to work. I will continue trying AI software and share if I find something useful.
