When you feel anxiety or compassion about the pain that is happening in the world, how do you deal with it?

Do you just try to ignore it or do you address it? If you try to ignore/suppress it will affect your well-being. You have address things that bother you, when they bother you.

For example, I just saw the drop in the Stock Market. I know that it will immediately affect many people who rely on those stocks for retirement. People are always cashing in their stocks to retire. Now they can’t.

I saw that and when I started to feel anxious I asked myself “Is my anxiety going to help the people hurt by this news?” It isn’t. It isn’t going to help me either. If you are a compassionate person, you have to recognize that you have to manage your heart and how others thoughtless actions hurt others.

The point of this article is to say that the more empathetic you are, the more you need to accept the cruelty of others. Not accept it in a way that is giving up. But accepting it that it is reality and it is another hurtful thing that people do when they don’t love others.

Staying centered means that you are balancing your emotional and logical aspects of yourself. You can still empathize with people, but if you allow yourself to lose control and invest energy into every cruel deed you can’t survive and you won’t be any use to others. It is true that heartless people become rich because they are ok with hurting others, and they think that they deserve what they get because they hurt others.

We have had enough to go around for quite awhile. It is just some greedy people don’t want to share with others. When those greedy people kill the people they love, the society that produced this lifestyle for them, and the planet can’t support life then they will realize their mistake. Until then, buckle up.
