Try to anticipate peoples needs

One of the things that my consulting clients have appreciated is that I anticipate their needs, and provide them documentation or details that they need when they need it.

Lots of companies have what are called Just-In-Time systems where the parts are delivered just when they are needed. This minimizing costs and complexity like storage and can improve efficiency. For knowledge workers like myself, having Just-In-Time information I think is the standard now for business.

For example, I can see where something is going in my niche and I start researching once I realize that the client needs more details to make a decision. By the time they are considering their decision I have the report already send to them, and then they can consider it making their decision.

If you have empathy and look at things from the clients point of view, they feel you are part of the team because you are.
