Hoping to save the badly damaged Fig plant, I increased the temp in the living room to 81 degrees. Today with the heat from the sun it is hot.
I turned the temp down to 77 now and thinking of turning on the fan. I want to help the plant live, but there is a balance.
The plant does look better and it stopped dropping leaves. That is the good news. I probably just need to be patient and give it time and it will recover. If it doesn’t, then it is getting tossed and I will close my window shades again.
I turned the fan on. Computers don’t like to be hot so if I was a voting democracy it would be 2-1 on the temp.
The plant is also helped by the humidity, indirect light it never got before and plenty of carbon dioxide from my breathing. If it can’t survive with the best I can do, then it is too temperamental. In life you sometimes have to cut your losses and admit that not everything is practical.
With the sun the heater hasn’t come on all morning. I wonder what the real temperature is inside?
