I had a recruiter tell me on Friday that because my resume was sent to the company I was unable to withdraw from the process.
I have never had a recruiter tell me that I was unable to withdraw from the process. What was even more surprising is that in the email I sent, I said that I don’t wish to work with her and please not to contact me again.
Why did I do this? She kept not listening and calling multiple times. This was not a good sign. If someone doesn’t listen to me and violates my boundaries, we can’t work together.
Now if she says I have an interview, I will tell her I am not interested and not to contact me again. If she fails to respect my boundaries I will block her email and phone.
If you don’t listen to people, they are not going to listen to you.
