I don’t want to sound like I am complaining, but I think I might have to buy a new desk.
The U shaped desk I have now is my favorite, but my MSP has given me potentially 3 more work streams to work on part-time and that means that I could potentially have 3-6 more computers. You tend to get two computers per client. One to work on, and one that you develop with.
Now they would fit on the current desk but not be ideal. They would be right next to each other and that isn’t great from a cooling perspective. I hate to buy another desk but it may be required.
One option of course is to see if there is some desks that can fold out like a dining table where you add the leaves to it. Then when I have more laptops I add to the desk. I don’t want a massive desk because I don’t have much free space.
I will need to think this over. The reasonable thing is to wait and see how many laptops I get then deal with it. I like to deal with things proactively which is kind of costly and often unnecessary. Hmm, that sounds like a good reason to be reactive.
Right now I have 5 laptops on my desk. Three are personal and two are work. I could also stack the extra laptops up when I am not using them which is another option and would save electricity. Hmm, what to do?
