This isn’t the first time, but last night I started getting people messaging me thinking that I was a recruiter for the company that I am doing consulting for. Kind of frustrating, because there are alot of people who contacted me and because I am nice I tell them it is a mistake and I am not a recruiter.
I even got an email last night from a recruiter who thought I was a recruiter. One of the downsides of having LinkedIn messages that that you get spam from random people.
If recruiters get all of this spam is is no doubt why they don’t respond to everyone. It would be impossible. Still there are automated ways to reply, so its not that a personal message is required.
I nicely tell people I am not a recruiter. Lets see how long this will last.
