I have eaten too much terrible emergency food, but I finally found something that tastes great.
Here it is. While almost $14 might seem too much, it does have two servings. So that is really $7 per meal. That is the same price you might get for fast food, and, I’d much rather have this than any fast food.
The downside to this is that it takes 15 minutes after pouring in 2 cups of boiling water. It’s not bad but it’s not a microwavable meal fast. If you are really hungry then plan your mealtimes.
There are many other upsides to using this product. It says that it lasts for two years. I don’t think it will last the week. I am super excited to try the cinnamon apple oatmeal next and I think that will probably taste great as well.
This would pair great with a solar canteen that I saw that heats up water with just sunlight. I was tempted to buy that but I don’t have any need for that now. In the future, however, if I had an RV I would definitely buy that since it would be a nice way to save energy.
What else can I say about this? Probably if you want to save more money you can join REI. I am not a member but if you want to save money that is an easy way to do it. I rarely shop there but when this showed up in a web search I thought I’d give it a try. I tried it years ago and liked it and forgot about it. It still tastes great. It is nice to know your choices when preparing for emergency items.
The ingredients are good and don’t have anything weird in them. I am not crazy about mushrooms but they did add a nice flavor to this and it would have been worse without it. Now onto the breakfast goodness!
