I have always been impressed with HP laptops. I had a great experience with them in past jobs and I am excited with this new purchase.
Why did I buy it when I had other laptops? For several reasons.
The most important had to do with screen space. Even though I have my projector, the number of sunny days and not being able to control when it is sunny makes it hard sometimes to see what I needed to see. So with a larger screen I can see things better. This is the largest 17.3 inch screen size I have ever had in a laptop and I love it.
Secondary reasons also include: separating personal from work things, MSI too hot often when it was doing many things, potential for improved projector image by simplifying the video card setup. With only one video card it should make it easier for me to optimize and troubleshoot and understand how this process. IT is also because I am curious and its been awhile since I used an HP laptop. Like I said I really enjoyed it in the past and next to Mac they have been the most reliable laptops for me.
Maybe it is just my imagination but the screen seems improved from the MSI laptop that I have. It isn’t brighter it just seems sharper. Perhaps this is just my imagination but I am not complaining.
Is there anything I don’t love? I just tested the audio and it sounded great. Not as good as the $500 Sonos Ace but very acceptable for this kind of purchase cost. I’ll let you know if I find something to complain about.
