You have to be patient with LinkedIn. It isn’t staffed with the best and brightest.
Why do I say this? Everyday I find a new error that impacts my ability to use it.
First to be fair I am on LinkedIn almost all day. It is the only social network I use and I use it also as a tool to research IT topics and other things.
However with that said, it is frustrating how often something goes wrong. Today for example I applied for a job and when I thought it was done, it said “An error occurred with the application please try again” and then restarted the process. I did it the second time the same as the first, changing nothing, and it worked.
Yesterday I tried to export data from my account and it exported a blank file. I tried it again but it said I had to wait two hours to export another data file. What do you want to bet that will be blank as well?
Now since I am no longer paying for LinkedIn I can’t be upset. At least I am not wasting the money like I used to do. I thought that having the Premium account would help me but it didn’t. The LinkedIn AI was silly and its suggestions were more like Copilot than ChatGPT. It was a simple AI answer and not as thoughtful as the highest levels of what ChatGPT can offer.
I hope this doesn’t sound like I am complaining. On the whole ChatGPT does save time, but you have to accept that you have to learn its tricky ways and not expect human level intelligence. It is often very wrong, childish and doesn’t seem to understand basic words. Once you accept this limitation you can work with it.
Anyway be patient with LinkedIn. Eventually it will become ChatGPT and that will hopefully improve things.
