I had an order with Roadie the delivery people last night and it failed.
It all looked good until the end. They said they picked up the item and it was on its way. I was excited to get it, but it didn’t arrive. It was hours past the window it should have been delivered and I got an email saying that the order was canceled due to the inventory not being available.
If it wasn’t available why was I able to order it and they pick it up? What did they pick up? I just got a text today saying that they would be reaching out or I could call the number or I could come into the store to get it.
Now riddle me this. If I pay for an online order to be delivered, why would I want to come into the store to pick it up? More importantly if my orders can be canceled after they are on their way then why should I trust their system?
One of the rules I go by is if something happened once, it will happen again. Because they allowed it to happen once, it shows they didn’t care about quality control. I made this mistake with another major retailer who had a terrible inventory system. Like I fool I kept giving them chances and they continued to screw up. When a company regularly screws up, it isn’t an accident, it is by design.
After that failure last night I ordered the two pillows from Costco. Since it was late they said they had times tomorrow it could be delivered. I choose 11am and they were here early. I was so pleased. Costco’s system said they used Instacart and the time was exact and the delivery was flawless. If you want to have a better delivery, don’t trust Roadie trust Instacart.
