HP OmniBook X sometimes makes me feel like I am using a mac

No I am not trying to sell this, just that it feels so similiar.

I switch frequently between the mac that I am using for the client to setup their Intune mac infrastructure and the OmniBook X that I am using with the consulting company. The trackpad is so similar to the mac that I often try to do mac gestures on it without thinking.

Now I wear glasses so I am not looking too closely at the computer, but with the silver colors it is reminiscent of the mac as well. No its not close but when you are remotely connected to another computer then the OS of the computer you are on, becomes a non issue.

Right now on my Windows I am connected to my other windows computer, and to my consulting company through Azure Virtual Desktop. So at anytime I have three different OS that I handling and switching between. It feels very smooth and I haven’t used a secondary virtual OS like this for awhile but I love it. I used to use AWS Workspaces years ago and that was pretty awesome. I have used emulation software for a long time, so for me having multiple OS on one screen is no big deal. Its fun to do it and to have those choices.

Why am I sharing this? I think people are getting better with mac/windows and now the OS is less of an issue that it used to be. I think that partly why Windows markshare is decreasing year over year. People are using macOS/Linux and other devices like smartphones/tablets to do their work. Its fun to see that people have options and working with technology has never been more difficult and easy.

It is difficult because things like MFA can be a PITA and security is always an issue. Still I wouldn’t go back. I have loved every advance in technology even AI that stumbles and shows its sometimes value and often ignorance.
