Found a purpose for Kmousetool

I was reading an online science fiction comic yesterday and my finger was tired of clicking through the pages. I realized this was a job for Kmousetool. I configured it and it worked very well.

Too well in fact. I set the settings very high and when I moved the mouse only a little bit it clicked. So when I was done reading the comic I had a problem turning it off. I logged out of the system by holding down the power key and it brought up the logout/reboot window and logged out. Then when I logged back in it was still on but not active. I was able to turn it off then.

I just searched to find out if it had a keyboard command to stop it, but what I discovered is what the purpose of Smart Drag one of its configuration options is. It waits to click until you stop moving. This would have allowed me to easily shut it off and probably worked better when I used it. So the next time I read a comic I will turn on that option and see if it works better.

Isn’t it amazing in life that you learn something and then you have a chance to use it? I wonder sometimes if I am guided to discover things at times because often I use the skills that I recently learned. Has this ever happened to you?
