My auto-publishing to LinkedIn post stopped working yesterday. That is why I created a native LinkedIn post.
I didn’t bother to tell the author because it is a free plugin and it was probably something with LinkedIn that was at fault. I discovered later that LinkedIn had changed their API and the author corrected it and my plugin was automatically updated.
Now this is the first post since the update fix. I know it will work. I have talked with that developer when I had issues in the past and he was professional and knowledgeable. I am going to buy the professional version of this when this site makes money. So far that hasn’t happened.
Why am I sharing this with you? That some people who don’t get paid do things out of the kindness of their hearts. If he didn’t fix the plugin then I would continue to manually post to LinkedIn. It is very easy to copy and paste.
Now with that said the two posts that I made yesterday were more popular than usual. I wonder if that is because they didn’t have to go to my website to read it, or because it was liked. I have noticed that when posts are liked, they get at least 100 more views and often more. Liking someone’s post is a big help to them.
No, I am not asking you to like my post. I do not produce like-worthy content every day. Mostly I just want to share things that I think might be helpful for others to understand. Measuring the impact is far less important than having an impact.
