I tried to use Copilot yesterday to do something that I had done a Google search if it was possible.
I wanted to merge 3 JSON files and it said it could do it. It was a terrible experience.
I switched to ChatGPT and uploaded the files and got right to work. Well not right to work exactly, I had to fix my Little Endian problem first.
This is a technical thing that should not have happened based on the encoding of the text file. Once I saved it to Big Endian in the save as, then the file would import into ChatGPT. I hadn’t had a LE/BE problem for decades and I was surprised to see it.
If you don’t understand that that is ok, its just something from the past that for the most part is a solved issue. Anyway, after uploading the JSON files I was ready to make thing happen and I did.
It was incredible what ChatGPT could do with JSON files. I did some really complex things and I was so pleased with the results. Without this, I would have been frustrated in order to do what I needed to do. It was a nice experience.
If you have used Copilot and are not impressed, give ChatGPT a try instead.
