I used Copilot Analyst today and it was amazing.

This is what Copilot should have had from the start. If you have tried to analyze things by uploading documents and pulled your hair out in frustration, this will solve your problems.

I used it to analyze 63 files in HTML. Then I compared it with an XML file and it actually worked. It was a data scientist and in the background I saw it use python to transform and extract data and then make it ready to use. I couldn’t believe how easy it was. It took something that I struggled to do in 8 hours and it spit it out in 15 minutes. Wow!

Now after I write this I am going to test the Copilot other new features, Researcher, Visual Creator, Prompt Coach. I hope those will be similarly useful.

Now if you are using ChatGPT the Analyst part is built into it. That is, if you are paying for it. If you have teams, pro, enterprise you will get the advanced functionality. If you aren’t paying for it, you won’t. If you aren’t using AI now is the time to start.

I hope that everyone gets a chance to save time and effort wasted on old methods of dealing with data. It felt great to be able to put two very different file types together, not worry about normalizing the data or all of the other details that you have to do and have a useful output. Later today I am going to get more data to verify what I did this morning, but I have a good feeling it is close. If not, that still ok because it did something useful and for the average person that is worth the $20 a month team cost for this kind of functionality.
