Cloudy days are my favorite

Growing up in a desert, cloudy days became my favorite.

They are still my favorite. I have many reasons why.

  1. Cloudy days mean that it generally is more humid. Before I had the humidifier, I used to get headaches when the pressure changed when the temperature changed. Now with the humidifier going I don’t get headaches as much.
  2. Less bright. Living in a desert the sun was overpowering. Since I have blue eyes and they let in lots of light, the sun is overwhelming even with dark shades. It is more comfortable and less glare when it is cloudy.
  3. I love the rain. When I live in Portland Oregon and it rained often, I just loved that. Many people who lived there didn’t like the rain but I wasn’t one of them. I couldn’t get enough of rainy days. The humidity was amazing and I felt great. Even though I don’t like mushrooms I seem to thrive in mushroom like conditions of humidity, low light and pressure.
  4. Less heat on cloudy days. Generally things were cooler. On average in the desert I was in during the summer high 80/low 90 days were common. That made me feel sick to be in the heat for too long and so I learned to love it indoors.
  5. Less static electricity. I love rarely encountering static electricity since having the humidifier. I often had that problem as a kid. It was kind of annoying. Now I rarely have problems with static electricity. It is a wonderful experience not being shocked.

There are more but these are the major ones. Sunny days can be nice too. Especially if I am looking at them from indoors!
