One of the most frustrating things working with AI like ChatGPT/Copilot is that it just gives up and doesn’t tell you why.
So this means that you often have to ask it multiple times to do something it said it did like output a file to word. It shows the file, but you can’t download it.
Honestly as neat as it is that AI can summarize text and make things up, it feels like a step backward. It is mediocre to the extreme. If anything is done correctly you have to babysit it, take hours asking exact questions, correcting its misinterpretation no matter how clear you are, and then often redoing it over and over.
One week I spent 40 hours reworking the AI content over and over and at the end of the week I asked myself, could I have done a better job if I did this manually? I think the answer is yes.
The more you use ChatGPT/Copilot/AI the less magical it seems. It is more like putting word documents in a blender and hoping they mix the words well. Sometimes yes, often no. Is the waiting and hoping worth it? Not currently.
