The video that is part of this post talks about the Amazon vs. FTC settlement. Today in Venmo I got $51!
At first I couldn’t believe it. I got an email that went in the spam folder that said I was sent $51. I was like yeah right. But I figured why not just double check Venmo? Then I looked $51 was sent to me from the FTC!
So since I didn’t need that money I considered it karmic and gave it to a friend. My policy is any money that is given to me is given to others. There are always people who have it worse off than you, and if you can relieve someones stress it only helps everyone.
My friend appreciated it even though it was a small amount. I added some additional money because they were venting they were financially stressed and I wanted to give them a nice Xmas present. It makes me feel good to give, and I don’t understand why more people don’t do it. Fear never makes you happy. I’d rather be a generous homeless person than a stingy person with everything they want.
I know this is true because I saw this first hand with billionaires that I knew. They were so ungenerous and so unhappy. I don’t think they realized the connection.
