No this is not a mental health moment, this is a moment of when you have excessive personal responsibility.
Now one of the downsides of my upbringing is the idea that I needed excessive personal responsibility. I am not going to blame anyone about this other than the culture that I was in. I thought to be a good and worthwhile person I must be responsible for everything in my life, and that has hurt me a great deal.
With time you learn that other people need to take responsibility too, and you stop overlooking the red flags of other people. You stop having optimism for people who don’t have optimism for themselves.
Why am I sharing this? Because of this experience. Earlier I was playing a web game and the screen suddenly became all unfocused and blurry. I immediately jumped to the conclusion that I must be having a stroke. I thought well it was a good life and I guess this is the end. Then nothing happened. No pain anywhere else or other symptoms and I looked around and nothing else was fuzzy. The game had crashed and corrupted the display. I was ok, it wasn’t ok.
Don’t assume things are always your personal responsibility.
