I used to be afraid to make mistakes, but I outgrew it.
Somehow I had the mistaken idea that mistakes would make me look like an idiot and people wouldn’t trust me. I didn’t realize that many of the most growing times in my life was when I learned from a mistake.
It is easy to not want to embarrass yourself in front of others. However more importantly than what others think, is what you think. Do you make decisions based on growing as a person, or managing what others think of you?
I learned at an early age that it is ok if I look like an idiot to others. I know what is inside me and I don’t need anyone validation.
You can’t fix stupid. You can’t heal toxic. Loving someone harder won’t make them love you back. The moment you realize this you will be free.
