I have been using these earphones for studying and they are amazing.
When I put them on the rest of the world doesn’t exist. If you sometimes get distracted then these are a game changer. With the sounds from the nearby Interstate, the lack of noise is amazing.
In fact wearing these is the closest to being in a rural place where I grew up is. I don’t miss that place, but I do miss the silence. That was the hardest part of adjusting to living in the big city is the noise that I dealt with.
I learned to adjust. I can deal with noise and it is normal to me, but having these makes it easier to study.
For example I just studied for almost 2 hours straight with them. Without them I would have been distracted and probably taken a break after 20 minutes. Yet it was easy and natural to continue reading with short breaks.
If you have ADHD or get distracted by noises in your environment, having these is not like noise canceling headphones. They will make sounds less noticeable with music/video. However this is the real deal and puts things in quiet library mode.
Maybe this is a sign that I am a nerd? I love quiet libraries and always studied there when I had a chance in college. I think if I lived within walking distance of a library I would spend most of my time there. It really is a special place for me. Not just because of the silence, but because there is content that isn’t poisoned by social media algorithms.
