In no particular order are the top 25 music albums that changed my life. I was humbled to hear them, and they changed who I am as a person.

  1. Iona is the group and Open Sky is the album. I listened to this so much that it would almost hypnotize me at the end. It is a remarkable and touching album.
  2. Yes is the group and Union is the album. I can’t believe that something this beautiful wasn’t more popular. Other albums such as Talk and Big Generator are also excellent.
  3. Alan Parson Project is the group and Eye in the Sky is the album. Wow, my mind was blown when I first listened to this.
  4. Neil Diamond is the singer and The Jazz Singer is the album. If this album doesn’t make you cry something is wrong with you.
  5. Dido is the singer and No Angel is the album. What a wonderful moving album.
  6. The Music machine was the group and The Music machine was the album. As a kid I listened to this over and over and its messages became part of me.
  7. South Pacific was the group and the album was The South Pacific. It was a remarkable and creative work.
  8. Madonna is the singer and True Blue was the album. Amazing and the mashup of Open your Heart that I have in my Resources/Music by the mashup artist The Butterfly roof is even better. Madonna was a creative force that made many of us dizzy when listening.
  9. Micheal Jackson is the singer and Thriller is the album. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. It is still perfect and influencing mashups and artists to this day. It will resonate with people forever because it was more than the work of an artist, it touched upon spiritual messages.
  10. Enigma is the artist and MCMXC a.D is the album. It was remarkable and I used to use meditate to it.
  11. Marvin Gaye is the artist and Whats going on is the album. Timeless classic that is so meaningful.
  12. Prince is the artist and Purple Rain is the album. What a genius and so touching. I used to wear a beret after hearing this song as an honor to him.
  13. Public Enemy is the artist and It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back is the album. This brought R&B and rap the attention it deserved. I used to watch Yo! MTV raps and was constantly amazed at the songs that existed.
  14. Mr. Mister is the artist and Welcome to the Real world is the album. Is it love is a song that resonates deeply with me. I often question if what I am doing and what the world is doing is love.
  15. The Steve Miller Band is the group and the album is Abracadabra. What an amazing album that was.
  16. Olivia Newton John is the artist and Physical is the album. Wow what a beautiful voice.
  17. They Might be Giants is the artist and Flood/John Henry is the album.
  18. The Cars is the artist and The Cars is the album. Classic songs on this.
  19. The Thompson twins is the artist and the album in Into the Gap.
  20. Duran Duran is the artist and the album is called Rio.
  21. Tears for Fears is the artist and the album is called Songs from the Big Chair.
  22. Frank Sinatra is the artist and Duets is the album. Not a big Frank fan but the duets are amazing. I liked Mashups before I understood them apparently.
  23. Bach is the artist and any work is the album. His Brandenburg concertos were amazing and there are too many great songs to list. He is my favorite classical artist.
  24. Saint Saens is the artist and Symphony in C Minor is touching.
  25. Barber is the artist and Adagio for Strings is the song.
