Remember the MSI computer that I bought? It said it had the top of the line WiFi card? Turns out it wasn’t so top of the line.
When I plugged my external USB Netgear adapter into it it has both a higher connection speed, and faster internet performance. I checked this out with both the Windows diagnostic information/status information, and going to Fast.com.
So if you are using a laptop and suffer from web pages or videos freezing or not loading this may be a solution. I watch SG1 online and since I have used this WiFi adapter I don’t have the pauses in the download video that I used to have. I am not doing anything but watching those videos, so I can’t attribute it to software memory conditions.
If your laptop has WiFi issues and the newest drivers don’t fix it, it may be time to consider an external adapter.
