One of the most frustrating things in life is to get things when you don’t need it.
Banks will lend you money when you have the collateral and means to pay it. Which means that they aren’t doing you a favor, they are just doing the least possible to be helpful.
The same with relationships. When you are young and inexperienced with them, people will take advantage of you if you allow them. So in life you have to not need things, and you will get everything.
I learned this in a job interview. I decided before I went to the job that I wasn’t going to act too excited to get the job, and tone down my level of curiosity and thrill of doing something new. I showed interest of course, but I also accepted if the job didn’t happen that was ok and it reflected in my attitude with the hiring manager. I got hired.
I think people like to see people with confidence and not needing something. It doesn’t matter if that confidence is wrong, but people trust confident people even when they have nothing to back it up. You will accomplish more in life by being confident and wrong, then cautious and right.
We see this in politicians. I have seen tons of YouTube videos in which people say they choose a president based on who seems confident and the vibe they are putting out. Which they are regretting now. People want to be fooled with a nice appearance, that is another lesson in life.
So in order to be rich, just be a confident jerk who dresses nice and has no idea what you are doing. I’ll take a donation when you get rich and thank you.
