No this isn’t nonsense, it is scientifically true.
You may not know this but I learned from my doctor and online that people are not symmetrical. https://www.verywellhealth.com/body-asymmetry-explained-4106752 What this means is that even though our body is not perfectly symmetrical, when it is the result is a lack of character/uniqueness. https://time.com/2848303/heres-what-faces-would-look-like-if-they-were-perfectly-symmetrical/
Now a few people in history were famous that had symmetric faces. However just because there were a few people who looked nice, doesn’t mean that an entire humanity of symmetrical faces would have improved looks. For the most part we would see less character, and have less willingness to accept differences in how people look.
What does all this mean? It means that how you look right now, is better than how you would probably look if you were symmetrical. I have had relationships with people who felt that their body asymmetries made them less attractive. I don’t think that way at all. I like that they are unique and not a fake barbie doll. I love that we can find beauty in what is inside, instead of always focusing on the exterior of a person. I love that we can be imperfect in symmetry, but perfect in character/uniqueness.
If we lack the ability to appreciate unique beauty, it is perhaps because we lack the ability to love what is inside of others.
