I have accidently clicked on the Windows 11 built in news. Almost always the articles are clickbait.
Part of the problem is that the sources of this trash are extreme and biased websites. This isn’t doing a service to foster intelligent discussion, but rather just favoring ad views.
Is that what we have become? We only carry the news that is sensational? I remember as a kid shocked that people would buy trash magazines at the check out. I could never understand why.
Now I know why. People believe what they want to believe, and it doesn’t matter if it is true or not. I believe in facts. Reality does matter, no matter what false narrative you want to push. The rest of the world is adjusting to the mistakes that the US is making, and we will find ourselves on the decline faster than ever in our history.
Telling people what they want to hear is the easiest thing in the world. Helping to educate and inform, it seems that both news organizations and Microsoft has given up on that.
