I randomly watch shows from the past on YouTube. They seem ridiculous.
For example, I watched an excerpt of the Bionic Woman. This was before my time. She outsmarted a super computer by getting fire protection sprinklers to turn on. Ok then.
The AI in the show was pathetic. I think it was called Alex 7000. It was a HAL 9000 knock off and they didn’t really go far into the technology of it. It was amusing to see the building full of tape drivers and 70’s technology. It is always interesting to see what people think technology will be.
The computer was programmed to win and that meant to win he would have to destroy humanity. Great. This is what happens when you get your programmer staff from 5’er.
Everything in the show was ridiculous. I know its a fantasy show but why was the Bionic woman making bionic noises when she picked up a chair and threw it at the Las Vegas robot Fembot? Can’t a woman pick up a small chair without having superpowers? I know plenty of strong women who could not only lift a chair but weights that I couldn’t possibly lift. I thought she was portrayed as strong but still needs Bionic help to be equal to a man.
I don’t watch TV anymore. I watched too much in the past and now it just seems to promote brain rot. At least on the Internet your brain is rotting and it takes some clicking and interactivity. I wonder if Internet has just replaced TV and instead of having standards for publishing in TV broadcasting, there is no standard and that is making us dumber with disinformation? I think so.
Everyday you have to check what you believe if its a fact. I do. If it isn’t a fact, then I let it go. I don’t need to be pushing other peoples agendas.
TV shows were pushing an agenda but most of the time we were too tired to critically analyze it. Step back and look at the beliefs you have been eating.
