I had to throw it away because I read an article that the kind of plastic it used still had BPA in it. That’s not cool.
Anyway, so I ordered a new metal water bottle from Costco that will arrive next week. In the meantime I have a metal water bottle that I will use that will be a bit awkward but safer for me.
Little by little in life we learn to have better self-care and put ourselves in a healthy situation. I assumed that Huel being about health would have taken care of that obvious detail, but it apparently didn’t. Anyway, I feel safer drinking from a water bottle with glass/stainless steel than plastic.
I am not happy being surrounded by the ton of plastic I have everyday. I can’t change some of the plastic I am exposed to like the client laptops I have to use, but I can minimize plastics as much as possible in my life.
Don’t take a vendors word when they say they are safe or assume anything. I was lazy and now I have to fix it. The good news is that I only used it for a few months so perhaps the damage that bottle did is minimal.
One of the things that I have done in my life is to eat lots of fruits, take vitamins and stay out of the sun. That has worked so far to help me be healthy. I hope that I can continue to maintain a healthy lifestyle and every few weeks or month I examine if there are any weaknesses in my self-care routine. Checking up on things can always optimize your life.
