Daylight and the sun that comes through the windows shades continues to be a problem for me.
Right now for example it is an average sunny day and I can’t make out parts of the screen. This limits the usefulness of the larger projection screen to me.
I did some research and I found a projector that would be 5 times the brightness of what I currently have. This would be a huge step up, and all of the reviews I read were outstanding for it on a variety of websites/retailers.
So why am I not buying it? It is hard to spend the $3k that costs. Which is kind of strange. If this was a car repair I would spent it no problem, and have spent it in the past. The car is an emergency backup for me and it is worth it to me to have it in good repair.
I would use this projector in my work life everyday. I would use it today right now if I had it. With it I could easier study intricate things. I have shared that the current projector has almost entirely eliminated the dry eyes and redness that I used to get looking at the screen. While the 17 inch laptop screen is great, being able to work on multiple windows at a time is real time saver especially when I am making documentation.
It was a hard sell for me to originally buy the cheap projector/screen at $1500. However it has made my work more comfortable and productive. Perhaps I need to accept that some investments in your health and well being are worth making, even if it feels a little excessive.
Why not a TV? It emits blue light and that causes eye problems as well. It is heavy and I shared that my experience buying a high end expensive TV just made my eyes worse. The projector has been the most easy for my blue eyes and HSP reflexes. Light is always a challenge for me, and the less light that I have to deal with the happier my eyes are.
I realize not everyone is this way and for many people the glare and TV is fine for them. For me TV has always hurt my eyes even as a kid.
