The old saying the price of freedom is eternal vigilance also applies to using the Internet.

I had someone on LinkedIn send me a suspicious LinkedIn message and their profile only had the barest of information. I wasn’t convinced and when I asked ChatGPT if this was a scam, it agreed with me.

If you don’t trust something or if someone makes it difficult to easily trust them, and then even if they do have all the signs, there should always be doubt.

I am not saying that people can’t be trusted. I am saying that they have to earn your trust, and that trust is not automatic.

Why Regan? I typed in war and he came in my gallery image search. Its funny the connotations that the search engine has.

Be suspicious and be ready. I reported him to LinkedIn but I don’t trust that they will do anything. They have never done anything after “investigating” all of the spammers I have told them about.
