I switched to ScalaHosting for my website. Why? My previous hosting company had terrible support.
Which is too bad because they used to have great support. It turns out they were bought by a big conglomerate and the service levels went down.
I also wasn’t getting what I felt was worth the money I was paying. When that error happened yesterday it took 45 minutes before they fixed the problem. That was unaccepatble and would mean I could never recommend them to a client.
Why did I choose Scala? I had helped a friend choose it and it seemed to have the best reviews from the research that I did. I was very impressed. I had to contact them 3 times to address issues not because they messed up, but because my site was configured with Cloudflare with less than ideal settings. Once they fixed those, my site is just as fast as before.
Also the cost savings are extreme. I went from a dedicated computer to a shared space, and with the first year discount, I will only be charged about $60 the first year and $120 the next year. Far cheaper than the money I was paying before.
No I am not getting any benefit from sharing this. This is my recommended web hosting company for anyone. Personal or business. Their customer support was top notch and the speed has been excellent. Great work guys.
