I feel like I’m channeling captain Janeway. “You know I’m easy to get along with, but I don’t like bullies.”
I once had a recruiter call me and ask if I am interested in a job. Sure, that a good introduction. An even better one is a description of the job like “Are you interested in an remote, six figure job doing x?”
My response to her question is yes and I am only looking for WFH because of my health. She then immediately says “This is a on-site position.” I took a moment to consider what she said and how I was going to respond.
I responded with “Did you hear what I just said? I said I am only looking for WFH.” She said “Oh” like she just heard it for the first time. The call quickly ended.
If recruiters are not listening what we are telling them, why should we answer the phone to random people?
