My solar generator died yesterday, but it wasn’t its fault.
It turns out that an expensive power strip had the port stop working. Once I plugged it into another port, it worked like a charm.
I was happy and sad. Happy that it was working and it wasn’t the expensive solar generator, and sad that the expensive power strip port had failed.
To save electricity I bought two of them and using them both. It turns off the power when the device isn’t in use. I don’t believe that I have saved enough in electricity to pay for the cost of the device itself.
Sometimes in our attempts to be responsible we find out that our small attempts don’t matter. Still it isn’t dead yet and perhaps in another few years it will pay for itself. I hope.
