No I am not getting any benefit from sharing this. I have used a ton of Remote access software and I think this is the best.
Why do I say that? For several reasons. 1. They offer a free personal plan which lets people try it and experience many of the advanced benefits. 2. The interface is easy and intuitive in everything. Not only their web page, but also their actual software. I couldn’t believe how thoughtfully it was designed. A normal technical/person would be able to easily understand it. 3. The ratings about the company on Trustpilot are almost perfect. It is a 4.8 out 5. The one person who didn’t like it appeared to try to extort money from the company in the companies response to them.
So if you read earlier you heard that I liked Quick Assist and how did I gve up on it so quickly? Well it gave up on me. I was busy doing something else, and it timed out. I didn’t want to have to have the burden to be saying yes every hour, and even though the image quality was amazing, the slowness was a bit off-putting.
With this tool Getscreen.me the image quality is almost the same and the speed is normal and responsive. When I say almost there is a little bit of pixelation when it first draws, but it is gone in less than a second. Honestly I probably won’t even notice after awhile and for free, that is a non-issue.
Now even if for some reason it isn’t free, I like their $149 lifetime usage guarantee. That is much cheaper than other solutions that want you to pay each month. I don’t pay for subscription services. I don’t believe in that garbage. I would rather pay a one time cost and then I will have saved money. Most of the other companies are at the $10 monthly charge for personal usage, which is about 15 months or a year and a half roughly. You can quickly see why paying by the month is a bad deal.
Honestly the interface blew me away when I first used it. I have to be honest and say that I was a little bit arrogant about browser based connectivity. Browsers have their own issues, so why would you depend on that? However seeing how fast and easy to install this was, I was wrong. The fact is that every OS has a reliable browser and its not my place to tell a developer what his foundation should be. In order to set it up I only had to download the app on the other computer, and when I was setting it up it had a tab for a permanent connection. I clicked on that and put in my username/password to sign in the account that I made, and it added it to the device screen. Then I clicked on it to log in and I instantly logged in. This was the easiest setup for remote access I ever had.
I love this software and I think this is my personal choice for the future.
