Several years ago I bought a Solar Generator that cost about $1000. I wasn’t impressed with it and asked the company to take it back under the warranty. They didn’t, so I was stuck with it.
I didn’t really use it so I gave it to a friend and they used it and found it useful. Then it started to misbehave and beep every 15 seconds while in use. This is really annoying and I called the company to see how it could be fixed.
They didn’t talk to me on phone but on text. Which I hate. They ultimately concluded that nothing could be done over the text and send a box for me to send it in. I sent it in and I was very surprised yesterday when I received it back.
Except it wasn’t refurbished like the box said, it appeared to be a brand new model that was an upgrade of the original model. This is good if it works.
I am giving it back to my friend and if it has a 15 second ticking its going back to the company. I would not support this company and I send them a long email explaining how it wasn’t reliable in the short time I tried to use it and why I wanted a return.
If YouTubers are pushing a product almost 100% it is a terrible product. I didn’t buy it because a YouTuber featured it. I bought it because it seemed like a good choice and the reviews were fairly positive. It has been used six times, and each of those times it has had some kind of random failure or problem for me. I hope this new unit is more reliable.
