Quality over quantity

True friendship proves that accessibility happens when we carry each other
True friendship proves that accessibility happens when we carry each other

I have meet many people in my life, but few have become true friends.

This is probably for the best. It would be exhausting to deal with even a fraction of the people I have meet. Not to say I am popular, but I am outgoing and I tend to be friendly to almost everyone I meet.

I was thinking yesterday of the state of the world and how I have lived in it. I realized that there have only been about 10 people that I could call people who respected, loved and inspired me. They defined the man that I came to be.

This is not to brag or compare. Just to say that for me a few quality people have been more than enough. Not everyone friendship turned out to be true, and not everyone love turned out to be sincere. Which is fine I’m a big boy.

I think the mistake we make in life is thinking we need more. Often we need less than we think we do to be happy. As a highly sensitive person I guard my energy and time carefully. I can’t allow myself to be sucked into situations that will hurt me or others. I avoid the short term benefit for the long term advantage.

I don’t know why more people don’t value peace over confusion and noise.
