
I couldn’t publish to LinkedIn yesterday or Saturday and it wasn’t clear why.
Now I have had this problem before and in the past it was a problem with plugins. So I disabled the plugin and it still didn’t work.
I went to a friends website had similar plugins to mine and this plugin that I help manage and the exact same publish to LinkedIn plugin wasn’t working for her. I was convinced it wasn’t a plugin issue.
So how did I solve it? I didn’t. I simply posted to LinkedIn and copy and pasted my website articles. It worked fine and I figured I would look at it on Monday so that I could enjoy my weekend and have fun.
Today and Monday of course it worked like a charm. I didn’t expect it to but I was thrilled. I suspected when this happened this was a LinkedIn issue. I have had multiple experiences where LinkedIn has problems updating my feed when I successfully publish to it. The author is clearly on top of his game and even has a more expensive plugin that does this as well. I would buy it if I was making money off this. I definitely will buy it if this free plugin is no longer supported.
Microsoft sometimes seems to silently push changes and then in a few hours or days its back to normal. Often just waiting on non-critical things is the only thing you need to do.
