Playing Marvel Strike Force less recently

I still love playing the game, they just haven’t created new content for a while so it can be boring doing the same thing.

The company has teased for more than a year that a new game mode is coming that will be interactive with your alliance and fun. They showed some very basic screenshots but we haven’t been told when it will arrive. I think that the players are anxiously awaiting this new content so they are feeling a little burnt out.

This means that I have been playing other games more recently. Since Nobara Linux works so well with Steam and my computer I have been playing that and growing my city. It looks and works better than I have ever played it. The only thing that comes close is my 5-year-old Mac laptop and that still slows down when the population gets over 100k. With the upgraded video card this should be different when I get up to that level.

One of the things that Apple said in their recent Developer video is that the next version of their computer will have a better game selection that works even better than it does now. They mentioned the Control game that I love by name and said it would be on there. It is too little, too late. If I can play that in Linux and I can and have why would I spend $3000 on a Mac when I can get the same or better game performance on a PC with Linux? If Apple had done this game focus 10 years ago then Linux would have never stood a chance. Apple always arrogantly ignored the game market by not giving developers and others the support that they needed to play games.

How bad is gaming when gaming in Windows and Mac isn’t stable enough and it forces users like me who enjoy playing games into another OS that is unsupported to play games? To me that says both bad marketing and understanding of the consumer. I grew up with game consoles that didn’t crash. Yes, they were simple, but I’d rather play a simple stable game than one that crashes. Almost every game I have ever played crashed and that with with a system that was far above the recommended levels of requirements. I have spent so much money on gaming that it is ridiculous and for the most part with poor results on Mac/Windows.

I still play Marvel Strike Force several times a day but the fact that I am playing another game means that they better speed up their promises or it may be time to replace it with another game.
