I shared in an earlier article that I saw some graphic corruption in Nobara Linux. That was fixed about a week after I wrote about it.

For the gaming MSI computer I have Nobara Linux has worked very well on it. I have OpenSuse on my secondary laptop which I am using now to type this and I use both equally throughout the day. I don’t have a preference for one or the other. I love the functionality of both of them. One is made for business and the other for gaming. It is an incredible gift to use both of these OS.

I read about other Linux gaming OS like Garuda. I have read reviews of that and some people say that it also works very well as a gaming OS. The problem is that I hate how it is themed. The dark background and the RGB-colored icons are non-standard and to my taste crude. It might work very well for someone who likes to have things look different or who has RGB lighting or a keyboard. Even though the MSI laptop comes with that stuff available I turned it off because I think it looks gaudy. It was a negative when I considered buying it and it is something that is wasted on me.

So my experience with my model of MSI laptop is that Nobara has 100% hardware support and OpenSuse doesn’t have the mic/speakers working on it. Is this enough to change the model of the gaming computer I buy next time? I am not fond of the gaming computer options. Still, this gaming computer is very good and I will hold onto it as long as I can play the games that I want. For me, however, these two OS are better than Linux Mint.

Using Linux has been the easiest computer experience I have had. Apple no longer has the crown for ease of use.
