Can you believe I’m without water for a second time?
The building sent an email saying that the water would be shut off due to road construction on the road next to the building. Ok then.
The good news is that this wasn’t unexpected and that they said the hours when water would be unavailable. So that means I was able to plan for it. I took a shower this morning and doing laundry and even going to fill the tub with water in case the water doesn’t come back on.
I have my emergency water and I’m doing fine otherwise. I have to laugh because in my last apartment this year the same thing happened. The water went out both on plan and unexpectedly and it was for 8 hours just like this. This is just part of living in a city that is often being improved and under construction.
It has made me want to buy a water filter however, and I am going to look for one after I write this post. As much as bottled water is delicious I don’t want to have the environmental impact. Unfortunately I didn’t have a choice. Balancing individual and society needs is always a challenge.
