Since there has been a growing AI content this year, I have created a new category on my site for it. It currently has roughly 3 pages and more than 30 articles. Expect that if people think they can make a quick buck on AI everyone will be trying to figure out an angle to exploit this. Very few people truly understand this technology. I know I don’t fully understand it. Many algorithms are not easily understood, and these are constantly being adjusted. They are trying to get the results, but this is a painful process at the moment. I shared earlier how my experience with trying to get MS 365 Copilot to be creative failed.
I am not sour on AI promise. I want AI to exist. I want it to exist like Lt. Data that cares about humanity. I want it to exist to help us solve all the problems we have created for ourselves. I want it to exist because I believe it will help us regain our humanity by helping take away the danger, and drudgery of work. I am also not ignorant of the danger. Skynet is real and we can’t allow that to be our grave.
We all have to work together to see that we approach technology with a humane hopeful and understanding view. Plus we should always be ready to pull the power.
