I have been arguing with Copilot all day, and I don’t know if im making progress or on my way to a nervous breakdown.
I just asked it to compare 390 XML Windows 10 GPO files and 1 Windows 11 XML GPO file. If you have to compare data in Copilot/ChatGPT export it to XML. Trust me on this.
So Copilot is taking a long time to think about this. As it should. It is a lot of data. I would rather have a slow thoughtful process than a quick mistake.
It is so time consuming to do this. Just exploring if this is possible I think it out of the reach of most peoples patience. I wonder why Microsoft thought the speed and feedback of Copilot was acceptable?
For example it asked a clarification question if all files with Windows 10 polices were tabled and I answered it and gave it additional information and then asked it to confirm that it understood this. I am not secure that Copilot is understanding the data based on how it spoke to me in the prompts. It is a terrible feeling spending 30 minutes uploading data for Copilot to not be clear what it is doing with your data.
Its been thinking about this statement and analyzing it for 5 minutes. I think it has made a mistake and is trying to find a graceful way to admit it and solve it. I hope so, because I don’t want to reupload these files again.
