Many times when I have worked with others, the best people are the ones who leave an organization.
I was thinking of how many times I was sad to see someone gone. Not only because they were great at their job, but I liked their attitude and helpful personality. I am glad to see them go someplace that may work out better for them and thrilled that they have options.
Honestly I have seen more people leave bad organizations than leave good ones. People don’t tend to leave organizations unless they don’t feel appreciated. A simple thank you or appreciation of working hard is always appreciated.
So if you can’t remember the last time you complimented you coworker, its too late. Compliment them now!
