No I am not selling them. I just love the Sonos Ace headphones.
I wrote earlier about how other headphones I bought solved my issue as cheaply as possible. However I had to buy better ones to better enjoy my noisy environment and for work. These are amazing.
Just before a client meeting I got them and so I quickly added them and the sound was better than the Seinheiser Accentum. I didn’t use the mic because I wasn’t sure of it since I didn’t test it. I am not going to test something in a client meeting.
I asked two coworkers to test with me and the results were stunning. I don’t use that word lightly. I put my face 1 inch from a fan and they said they couldn’t hear anything. I opened the window and put my head outside so that it could hear the traffic the loudest and they couldn’t hear anything. I couldn’t test the firetruck sirens but I will test that with another friend tonight after hours. If it blocks the firetruck that will be incredible.
With this testing I can state that this is clearly the best built-in noise canceling that I have ever heard. The fact that they make music sound even more incredible is a wonderful coincidence. Is there a downside? They are very slightly more heavy than the Seinheiser but I knew that and accepted it. I don’t think that will be an issue but if it is I will let you know. I used to have much heavier headphones as a teenager and those were fine.
While I am writing this I am listening to the latest mashups I have shared on my blog. In the Sonos app I turned up the Bass/Tremble to max and they sound to me as good as the Seinheiser. As much as I might impress someone being an audiophile, I am a wanna be. I can tell when headphones are better but don’t ask me to name the frequencies. These are clearly better than the Seinheiser Accentum in all the ways that are important to me.
The rest of today I am going to be listening to music. I’m going to go play with my toys now.
