You have to kiss alot of frogs to find a prince.
This is just how life is. You often spend time doing things that you are sure aren’t going to pan out, just because they need to be done.
For example, interviewing with recruiters. Some recruiters will screen you and see that you are personable and technically knowledgeable. That’s fine. However you know the job isn’t what you want, but you still do it. Why?
You have to get verified in their database. Many times I have gotten jobs from having a recruiter call me because I was in that companies database from another recruiter. This is ideal. Then you don’t face the same level of screening, and if they are desperate they will immediately present you.
This is why sending out lots of resumes work. You are put in so many databases that often I have been called because I have applied to another job and then gotten the job that I want. Recruiting is sloppy and imperfect, so put yourself in the running by letting companies verify that you are what you claim to be.
Then you will have choices when you want to further your career.
