I had to send a Lithium battery back to the manufacturer because it was defective. I had it for a few years but it had gone way down and was no where near the 3500 cycles that they promised. I had used it 6 times, and it couldn’t charge more than 50% of its total.
So the company surprised me and send me a box to ship it in and was nicely labeled. When I went to the FedEx Office I was told they couldn’t accept it. The reason is that because it was a dangerous battery, it had to be verified that the packaging was ok. The didn’t have a guy there that could do that. They said to go to the hub.
I went to the hub and the hub person told me that the guy who could do it was on the road. Then why advertise that they accept those kind of packages?
She accepted the package and it was sent on its way.
If you have a dangerous package, skip the FedEx office and go directly to the hub or you will probably have to visit somewhere else. Or better yet call ahead and make an appointment.
