Grow each day by trying new foods

One easy way to grow each day out of your comfort zone is to try new foods.

I just got my groceries delivered and I ordered a new jam. It said it was Blood Orange which I love and grappe (grape) which I thought could be interesting. I hate it.

I put it on a simple Peanut Butter and bread and it tastes terrible to me. No the point isn’t to complain but rather to point out that when you try new things you may not like them, but that is ok.

Now some of you might say “Well you will waste food if you try things you don’t like.” Perhaps if you don’t have friends. I fortunately do have friends and the foods that I don’t like I ask them if they want, and they always say yes. One of the things I have discovered is that people rarely turn down free food. That is true especially if you bring it to work as a treat for your department or company at large.

Here are 3 reasons why I like trying new foods. 1. You can find some delicious things that you can really enjoy in the future eating. I have found many, many new foods this way. 2. By challenging yourself you grow and even if you don’t like it, just doing something different can open new possibilities. I didn’t know what grappe was so I researched it and now I know I don’t like it. Save me money if I see that at a fancy restaurant. 3. Friends, family and coworkers (your network) will benefit from your generosity. It feels good to give and food is always an appreciated and valuable gift.

When we help others, we are always helped. When we hurt others, we are always hurt by it. Why is that so hard to realize?
