Got a Blue Screen of Death on my HP Omnibook X

I was surprised. I hadn’t gotten one in awhile.

When I looked into it and analyzed it said it was because of memory corruption due to a faulty driver or memory problem. Memory rarely has a problem anymore, so more likely it was a faulty driver. I didn’t care to worry about it since it is my personal system and this is the first time it happened. If it happens again I will investigate.

Windows 11 has had a bumpy road with issues. All windows versions do, but its hard when you have used a mac for awhile and not used to seeing a blue screen of death. I guess that is the downside of using both platforms. You get to experience the issues unique to each one of them.

I have to say that I have had less reliability issues when I used Fedora Linux on a Thinkpad. It looked beautiful and was a delightful experience. The only reason I gave it to a friend is that they needed a new computer and I needed to get rid of some of the computers that I had to make room for the computers for the company I consult for. My U shape desk only has so much space.

To be honest the Blue screen is probably my fault. I downloaded a better audio driver to troubleshoot a problem with echoing with Azure Virtual desktop. It doesn’t have noise cancellation by default which is kind of annoying. Now I solved it with using my headphones with a USB connection. In a way its easier. I don’t have to worry they are charged and I don’t switch them between devices like my phone anymore. So that is nice.
